I was one of the first guests at Etereo resort, and it reminded me how much I love brand new hotels. It got me thinking about which new hotel openings I’m excited about, so I put together a list! These hotels either just opened or are expected to open in 2022.
Thompson NYC
I’ve really enjoyed my stays at other Thompson properties and the Thompson Central Park is located in my favorite neighborhood in Manhattan. Plus, I love that Thompson is a part of Hyatt now, and I can redeem points for stays.
Montage Big Sky
Montage Big Sky opened at the end of 2021 and is making a strong case for a trip to Montana. I’ve never been!
Auberge Bishop’s lodge
Auberge is aggressively expanding their footprint, and I’m not mad about it. This new property looks beautiful!
St. Regis Kanai
I took this picture from my balcony at Etéreo, which is located in the same development at this new St. Regis property. In Dec 2021, the St. Regis still looked far from done, so I’d guess a late 2022 opening or maybe early 2023.
Ambiente Sedona
Ambiente’s opening has been delayed, but the excitement around “North America’s first landscape hotel” continues to build. I love visiting Sedona for a relaxing long weekend!
Susurros Del Corazon
This is another new Auberge property, and it’s located in one of my favorite warm weather destinations… Punta de Mita.
Edition Reykjavik
I’m dying to go to Iceland! The luxury hotel scene there continues to grow, and I am definitely planning on staying at this hotel when I visit.
Rock House Resort
I discovered this hotel when I was researching new hotels for this post and it looks stunning! It doesn’t get much better than a beautiful location and good design.
